Doctrine
A warm, accessible interpretation of the Rule of Gnosis — spiritual wisdom for everyday living.
Pursuit of Gnosis
The journey of gnosis begins with a simple but profound truth: the divine is not distant or separate from you. It lives within you, as close as your own heartbeat. To pursue gnosis is to turn inward with courage and curiosity, to sit quietly with yourself and listen for that still, small voice that whispers of something greater.
You don't need anyone's permission to know God. The spark of the divine is already yours — it always has been. Your spiritual journey is valid exactly as it is.
Sacred Texts
The ancient texts we study — the Gospel of Thomas, the Gospel of Philip, the Gospel of Mary, and so many others — are not rulebooks. They are love letters from the divine, written in poetry and paradox, inviting us to see the world and ourselves with new eyes. When we open these texts, we open ourselves to transformation.
Scripture is alive. It speaks differently to you at different seasons of your life. Trust your own reading. Trust what resonates in your heart.
The Divine Spark
You carry within you a piece of the eternal. This isn't metaphor — it's the deepest truth about who you are. No matter what the world has told you about your worth, no matter what shame or doubt you may carry, the light within you is real and inextinguishable. You are a child of the divine, full stop.
Your identity — all of it — is sacred. Your gender, your love, your unique way of being in the world: these are not obstacles to the divine. They are expressions of it.
Radical Inclusivity
We build this community on one unshakeable foundation: every single person who walks through our doors — literally or figuratively — is worthy of love, respect, and belonging. We don't tolerate the marginalization that so many churches practice. We actively dismantle it. If you've been hurt by religion, you are especially welcome here.
The divine doesn't discriminate. Neither do we. Your queerness, your difference, your beautiful uniqueness — these are spiritual gifts, not burdens.
Self-Discovery
The path to knowing God is the path to knowing yourself. These two journeys are one journey. We encourage you to explore your inner world with the same wonder and reverence that you would bring to a sacred temple — because that's exactly what you are.
Self-expression is a form of prayer. When you live authentically, you honor the divine spark within you. Be brave enough to be yourself.
Beyond Dogma
We reject the idea that spiritual truth can be owned, controlled, or dispensed by any institution — including this one. Truth is wild and free. It comes to us in moments of silence, in acts of love, in flashes of insight, in the beauty of the natural world. Our role is not to give you truth, but to help you clear away everything that stands between you and the truth you already carry.
Question everything — including us. A faith that can't withstand honest questions isn't worth having. Your doubts are not weaknesses; they are doorways.
Community and Fellowship
We come together not because we all believe the same things, but because we share a common hunger for something more. In this community, you will find fellow travelers — people who, like you, are seeking, growing, stumbling, and getting back up. We hold space for each other. We listen. We witness each other's journeys without judgment.
You don't have to walk this path alone. We are here for you — in your questions, in your discoveries, in your struggles, and in your joy.
Ethical Living
True ethics spring from love, not from fear. When we truly see the divine in ourselves and in others, harmful behavior becomes simply incompatible with who we are. We don't need lists of forbidden actions — we need open hearts. As the Gospel of Mary teaches, sin is not about breaking arbitrary rules; it's about acting in ways that violate our deepest nature.
You are not defined by your mistakes. You are defined by the love that made you and the love you choose to give. Focus on compassion, and ethics will follow naturally.
Spiritual Transformation
Gnosis transforms us. It's not a comfortable process — awakening rarely is. It means letting go of illusions we've clung to, identities we've outgrown, fears that once kept us small. But on the other side of that letting go is a freedom and a joy that defies description. This is the promise of the Gnostic path.
Transformation is ongoing. You are not the same person you were a year ago, and a year from now you will have grown further still. Trust the process. Trust yourself.
The Kingdom Within and Without
The Kingdom of God is not a place you go when you die. It's a state of awareness available to you right now, in this moment. It's the recognition that the sacred permeates everything — every breath, every encounter, every blade of grass. When you see with the eyes of gnosis, the whole world becomes a temple.
Heaven is not elsewhere. It is here, now, in this very moment. Open your eyes. Open your heart. The Kingdom is already yours.
